The appearance of Ironheart, the successor to Iron Man in Black Panther 2. Black Panther 2, aka Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is the next Marvel Cinematic Universe film to hit theaters soon. In honor of the late Chadwick Boseman, the cast involved in the sequel will certainly carry on all of his legacy. The veteran actors who have been confirmed include Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, and many more. Likewise with the new MCU actors, such as Tenoch Huerta and Dominique Thorne.
While Huerta will play Wakanda’s nemesis, Namor the Sub-Mariner, Thorne will instead appear as Shuri’s ally, Riri Williams aka Ironheart. In Marvel Comics itself, Riri herself is a genius student from the Massachusetts Institute who gets a golden opportunity to become the successor to Iron Man. Based on what is seen in the Black Panther 2 trailer, Riri seems to be creating her own handmade armor in a cave. Now, we finally get to see what kind of armor he created.
Ironheart armor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Just like before, the leak showing Riri’s first armor as Ironheart just came from the MCU Facility Twitter account. Based on what is seen in the picture, it is quite clear that Riri will create and wear a fairly sophisticated homemade armor. On his chest, there is an arc reactor that looks like Iron Man’s. The difference is that the arc reactor in Ironheart’s armor looks to have a heart-like shape.
In addition to the arc reactor, Ironheart’s right hand also has a repulsor that has a clamp for motor needs. On both his shoulders and legs, there were four boosters that seemed to allow Ironheart to fly. Although not completely covered, this homemade armor seems to be able to meet all Riri’s needs to be involved in the battle between Wakanda and Talocan later.
The simplicity of Ironheart’s first armor has indirectly reminded fans of Tony Stark/Iron Man’s MK I armor. It seems that later from this armor, Riri will get inspiration to make more sophisticated armor. Because after appearing in the film Black Panther 2, Riri’s character will later with her solo series entitled Ironheart. But before that, we can see his debut first, in the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on November 11th.
