The superhero character Ant-Man has become an important part of the Avengers group during their long journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In fact, in the film Avengers: Endgame (2019), Scott Lang aka Ant-Man gave Pym Particles to them to enter the quantum world. The goal, they will traverse time to various timelines to “borrow” the six infinity stones. Finally, through the stone, the heroes of the earth were able to bring back the humans, and fellow members of the Avengers who had turned to dust, while also defeating Thanos and his troops.
Ant-Man and his partner, The Wasp aka Hope van Dyne, have now become one of the fans’ favorite MCU superhero characters. Since the first film, Ant-Man (2015), both of them provide a light comedy treat typical of Marvel which is very easy to digest by anyone. In the latest phase of the MCU that carries “The Multiverse Saga,” Ant-Man is believed to be far more important than he has done before. Marvel Studios is now preparing its third sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumia, which is ready for release in early 2023.
Ant-Man Teaming Up with Kang the Conqueror?
At the Disney D23 event, Marvel Studios showed a teaser trailer that was released exclusively to fans who attended the event. According to a report from Collider, the trailer features Kang imprisoning Lang, as well as his daughter, Cassie. Kang then forces Lang to do the work for him if Lang and Cassie want to stay alive. The trailer footage also shows that the prisoners they are in look scary. Lang, and kang then engage in some dialogue, both also know each other’s identity, and what they want from each other.
After realizing Kang’s threat, Scott Lang then told him, “You’ve made a big mistake. I am an Avenger.” Kang then retorted by saying, “You’re an Avenger? Have I killed you before?
From that short dialogue, we can at least know for sure that in an unknown timeline, Kang once killed Scott Lang, and he won the war. However, it seems that Kang is still not interested in killing this variant of Ant-Man. Also in the trailer, this supervillain makes an offer to him by saying:
“I’m just a guy who loses a lot of time like you. But we can help each other with that. Someone stole something from me, and you’re the only one who can steal it back. So, do we have a deal?”
What was offered by Kang was immediately rejected outright by Lang. The trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumia has not yet been shared by Marvel Studios, and fans are increasingly curious about what will happen to Scott Lang in the film. In the explanation of the trailer that was released exclusively, we also still don’t clearly know what object was stolen from Kang, and why he continues to force Lang to help him steal it.
